PLEASE PLAN TO ATTEND THE ALTAR MEETING THAT WILL BE HELD IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING LITURGY ON SUNDAY, OCTOBER 25, 2009.

Servers should try to not miss scheduled days. Boys may serve on days other than those for which they are scheduled, provided there is space. However, even boys who are scheduled may be turned away if too many boys have already reported for service.

Plan to be in the altar by 9:20 a.m. Coming in later is disruptive to the altar routine

Black/brown leather dress shoes must be worn — no sneakers. Dark-colored dress pants should be worn with white or light-colored, collared dress shirts (buttoned at top while serving.) No ‘polo’ or crew neck shirts, please.

Servers must regularly attend Church School after Communion. Those who do not will not be allowed to serve in the altar. The only exception are those needed to assist with memorials. Boys must neatly put away robes and straps before leaving altar. Please notify Father Anastasios or an adult coordinator is your robe needs cleaning or repair. It is important that everyone serving around Christ’s altar look neat and clean at all times.

Please recruit and encourage other young men, who will turn ten by December 31, 2009, to join the ranks of our parish altar servers. Please contact our Altar Coordinator for more information about joining.
