OBJECTIVE
The main objective of Greek School is familiarity with Modern Greek through recognition and pronunciation-using letters, pictures and  words. Writing will be increasingly stressed as students progress. Listening and conversation will take up the greater part of class time. Word games, storytelling and audio-visual material will be included. Special effort will be made to familiarize children with everyday Greek life, especially as this relates to language. The Teen Level (12-16 years old) will give heightened emphasis to proper grammar, conversation, history, geography and culture. (Teen meeting place to be arranged in conjunction with parents & students.)  The Orthodox Faith will be integrated into the curriculum wherever possible. Students are expected to be attentive, follow instructions, and bring books/homework/supplies to each and every class. To this end, parental involvement in homework is of paramount importance.  Keep in mind though that Greek School is not about grammar and grades or accumulating awards at the end of the year. It is first and foremost about instilling in our children a lifelong love of and appreciation for the Hellenic heritage.

TUITION
$300 per year for the first student per family. Additional students from same family pay $200 per student per year. Books are included.  Families who are not stewards at time of registration (who are not 2007 financial stewards of the parish) may pay tuition of $600 per  first child and $400 per additional child. Full tuition is due with registration. Checks are payable to Holy Trinity Church. No tuition refunds will be made after OCTOBER 28, 2007. No child is ever kept from attending Greek School due to financial difficulties.  Consequently, families anticipating difficulty meeting Greek School costs should see Fr. Anastasios concerning confidential tuition modification, exemption or payment arrangements.
