Purpose: St. Panteleimon Orphanage is home to approximately 92 children with disabilities. The team’s responsibility is to help the caregivers in this orphanage with the children for one week, and then for few days following, visit churches and monasteries in Bulgaria and Greece.

Date of 2011 trip: September 16 - 27

Location: Vidrare, Bulgaria

Travel: Fly to Sofia, Bulgaria. Drive to other cities within Bulgaria and to Thessaloniki, Greece.

Number of people for mission team: 8 people

Total cost: $1,800 - $ 2,000 per person. Includes air and ground transportation, food, and lodging.

Requirements: You must be at least 14 years or older.

Other activities: Travel to Sofia City and visit the St. Panteleimon Orphanage in Vidrare, Bulgaria. On the way, we will visit the Holy Trinity Monastery in Etropole, the St. John of Rila Monastery and the city of Melnik. We will also travel to Thessaloniki, Greece when we will visit St. Demetrius Church. On the return trip back to Sofia we will visit Plovdiv City, Bulgaria.
