We invite people from all faith traditions and all ethnic backgrounds to join us in worship. Non-Orthodox may participate to whatever extent each individual is comfortable – there is no pressure to cross oneself or venerate icons.
There is one very important exception, and that is Holy Communion. Unlike many other Christian denominations, Orthodox do not practice what is commonly referred to as “open Communion.” Holy Communion is reserved not only for those confirmed in the Orthodox Faith, but also for those who have prepared themselves by being at peace with everyone, and with prayer, fasting, and a recent confession.
All are welcome to partake of the blessed bread (antidoron) at the dismissal.
